Be good to hear an update on the following for PAW (should there be any):

    • Improved export functionality (taking a book offline and sending to another offline user would be awesome - have a feeling could do this in 'Insight').
    • Variables in MDX (aware there are some tasks to complete prior to this)
    • Administration changes - allow admin roles to enable certain functionality and not other (i.e. do not necessarily want admins to be able to restart in Prod/change config vs Engineering etc).
    • Following on from the above, would be good to allow some standard users to view (and not stop etc) threads with no other admin access. Have looked at doing something using the Rest API, not sure standard users have access to see the threads of other users currently which is a problem.
    • Any reason why users couldn't have read access (respecting underlying TM1 security) to the transaction log.  We often have to create audit trails that users can see.

    Thanks

On user logon do Planning Analytics clients perform password hashing and password salting ?

When you logon to a TM1 server, how is the password transferred from the Planning Analytics client to the TM1 server ?
Is the password transferred in clear text ?
Or is password hashing performed by the Planning Analytics client so that it sends an encrypted password to the TM1 server ?
As password hashing encrypts a password in a predictable consistent manner, does the Planning Analytics client create a salted hashed password, and by doing so creating a true randomly encrypted password ?

Does it depend on the Planning Analytics client if password hashing and password salting are performed ?
If so, which Planning Analytics client perform password hashing and password salting ?

Planning Analytics:  What is your recommended course of action when one runs into unforeseeable circumstances, and intervening circumstances that that alters your intended course of action (planned strategy), and makes it null and void?

Examples would include partial and full failures, error messages, resetting to factory defaults, etc.

Hi, I missed to register for this session. So, when I go to view the recording, it says this email is not found. That's sad!

It will be good to see the recording without the need of registration. Or make an option of one time registration. Can you please enable that?

    Thanks!

Even though I missed the webinar, thanks to the amazing TM1 community, I was told about questions for Google Sheets integration that were asked during the session. I would like to share a new feature that was added just a few days ago to TeamOne Google Sheets add-on, it is called Explorer - a cube viewer for Google Sheets:

The documentation is available here: https://succeedium.com/teamone/doc/explorer

TeamOne Explorer provides another way to query TM1 data directly in Google Sheets. You can also use =TEAMONE() formula and tm1data automation task.

Hierarchy level indentation and TeamOne Explorer WRITEBACK functionality will be coming in the next versions
