COMMON PROCESS FOR ONBOARDING TO IBM COGNOS ANALYTICS ON CLOUD
Below are the common steps for onboarding to a new instance of IBM Cognos Analytics on Cloud. While some of these activities might differ slightly depending on your unique circumstance or the details of your purchase, this should give you a good idea of what to expect and help you plan.

TIP: These two items most often delay the onboarding process. Be aware and address these early:
- Make sure the IBM Technical Contact on the order form is the person who should receive the initial logon information and the welcome kit.
- If your purchase requires a VPN (most dedicated orders do) to securely transfer data from your on-premise location to your cloud instance, let your network administrator / engineer know early on that he will need to provide information to IBM as well as attend a call to finish the configuration of the VPN. This tunnel is most often required for communication to your on-premise data sources and on-premise user authentication sources.
